Editorial: Fall -2008
I fit into three categories in cycling world. 50%
commuter, 49% club rider, and 1% racer. Not a very good one at that. usually, a race I enter turns into a solo ride that ends when...well when I finish. I only remotely fake a sprint to save a bit of dignity from spectators who care enought to stay until the last saps roll in. I end up somewhere placing in the not-first or not-last category. Most of my racing career is defined as how many cars I count that I've passed waiting for the light to turn green or beating my boss or co-workers in some up-hill sprint. This gives me the most tiniest pleasure, as later I must succume to the work-forced infrastructure. while commuting I feel free, like a kid, twice a day to and fro, I get to forget about the business of being an adult. I must say, "feels good". On club rides, I get the priviledge to get some exercise with people who see cycling as I do. This is why I have created this bike organization. Most cyclists fit into the commuter and club rider category. Unity in this will bring success in safer cycling ventures in our community. In-turn will lead to more riders. A good circle to grow upon. I ask, please join me in a positive growth....
Best of luck to all of us.
