October 11th -
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is holding a great event on October 11. It is a multisport event, but the signature event is a 100k bike ride from Ellijay to the top of Brasstown. Proceeds from the event will go towards childhood obesity initiatives and the event will also be staged to generate excitement about bringing the Tour de Georgia back in 2010.

THIS IS AN AWESOME EVENT. the 5TH annual "Georgia Rides to the Capitol" event, cyclists will embark on rides to the Capitol in order to raise support for improved conditions for cycling, including the development of regional systems of bicycling and pedestrian networks. March 11, 2008, during the state legislative session. Estimated time of arrival at the Capitol is 11:40 a.m THE GOAL IS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF CYCLING NEEDS IN GEORGIA. WE WILL BE JOINING AT THE ROSWELL LOCATION. RIDE 411:
1. RIDE STARTS AT ROSWELL CITY HALL
2. RIDE COMMENCES AT 9:30 A.M.
